What is the right wire for extending ESC wires to motors?

I appologize if I'm asking this question in the wrong forum. I'm building a quadcopter from the following parts:

25A Plush Turnigy ESCs
Turnigy 2217 20turn 860kv 22A outrunner motor
Turnigy Talon V2 frame
3 Cell 2200 Turnigy Lipo
KK2 controller board
Spektrum AR6100e receiver
Spektrum DX7s

I obviously need to extend the ESC wires so they can reach the motors at the end of each boom and I don't know what kind of a wire is suitable for extending ESC wires. Can I use any multi strand wire or it has to be a Silicon 14AWG like this one from HobbyKing:

Any wire that is thick enough gauge will certainly work....but silicon wire rocks!

If the wire has the correct diameter, it will work. For the current of your motors, 16AWG might be enough. You may look here, what diameter is required: http://www.powerstream.com/Wire_Size.htm
