Another thing we should all be aware of it that some of you have picked up the $1878 whack on your card.....what about the $9 one or the $13 one? A lot of scammers just take little bits from 100s of people instead of big bits from a few. A lot of these smaller transactions never get noticed. Most people only really SEE the big numbers.

Ditto. I have had my card for nearly 30 years and never been hit.

I also use my card at least weekly over the net. I have been waiting for the empty flag to pop up. The only hassle I had was a legitimate error made by a company that accidently took the money out twice. They had already reversed the transaction by the time I rang them to abuse them.

Had a better look into it and it wasn't an Internet based fraud, it was an eftpos skimming fraud. So one of the recent shops I have visited have been compromised.

Yep, just your run of the mill daytime shops. Local supermarkets, large chain supermarkets, servos and restaurants, maccas and bunnings are the only places I've been in the last month or so. No suss places.
