TURNIGY DLUX speed controllers -who makes them ...?
HobbyKing supplies a useful range of speed controllers, the TURNIGY DLUX ESC range (photos of some models shown below):
https://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...SortOrder=desc They are available in standard form (2S to 4S Li-Po) in 20A and 30A ratings. They are available in higher Li-Po handling form (2S to 6S Li-Po) in 40A, 55A, 70A, and 100A ratings. All 6 DLUX ESC models have S-BEC, and have data logging features. They are available in HV (high voltage) form (6S to 12S Li-Po) in 80A, 120A, and 160A ratings, and these 3 HV models have no BEC (opto) and no data logging feature. They can all be programmed (and stored data accessed) using a program box which looks quite distinctive (see photo, below right) - https://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...g_Feature.html I wonder: Do we know which (chinese) company actually makes this range of DLUX ESC's ...? My guess is that it is the well-known ZTW chinese ESC factory ... ? - http://en.ztwoem.com Any ideas ...? ImagesView all Images in thread

Turnigy Dlux ESC's -copies of Castle Creations ICE ... ?
It seems from photos -see below
-that Turnigy Dlux ESC's are simply copies of the Castle Creations Phoenix ICE range of ESC's ..? -They even have the same appearance and configuration ... Might this suggest that Castle Creations ESC's are manufactured in the chinese ZTW factory ...? |

About dr. Allan Levi, his methods, his long ban history, his astonishing motor 'knowledge', his spate of sock accounts (names very similar to existing accoutns, thus abusing a.o. Dr Kiwi's sterling reputation), his e-mail harassments of forum members (at least 3 people I know off, including me, he's with 4 addresses in my spam-list, no doubt with more addresses soon), his commercial skills as LHS owner and his lies about other LHS's:
www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1634901 Recent Alllan Levi motor 'information' threads. In fact, the threads have some good and useful tech info, i.e. if you just stick to the replies by others www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1611380 www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_11062143/tm.htm www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1653512 |

I doubt there is no speed contoller in the world that has ever had any issues. There are trains bursting into flames when the speed controller gives up etc.
If one person had his dlux blow up in first spool up, so what? So has castle etc also. If half of them does, then there is an issue. |

Maybe my eyes are crossed but to me they don't look anything like the Castle ones. I have two of the 80 amp Dlux ones in use with no problems.
