The High Performance Photo Thread

I know alot of you guys love showing off your gear, I figure there might aswell be a place to post of it! Whether it's photos of power systems, your favourite mouldie, a general day at the field or anything related to going fast!

I got some photos here I think.

The Voodoo pullin some G's

The battle damaged DO5, compliments to their design, stood up to a direct wing impact with an ibis (yes a bird) at 320kmh, still managed to glide her in.

ohhh and this one, recently taken at the F3D team selections in AUS, not electric but still cool

That looks nasty! what happened??

Marcus I love the Typhoon, they look so nice! I think I want one..

Not quite as bad as Scorpionfans. I do admit laughing a little when I saw the feathers stuck in the wing though!

I have to ask, did the bird live?

I dont really know, it happened early in the morning and I was more concerned with trying to regain control and ger her down. She kicked hard in one direction (almost cartwheeled in the air if you like!), really surpised it didnt tear the wing or tail feathers off. The bird was a massive ibis, If it didnt die immediately im sure it wouldnt have lasted long. A 320kmh impact with something that's alive... I have my doubts that it lived. I might have just clipped it though so it might have been alright. I never found the missing chunk of wing though! First time I hit a bird and hopefully my last, wish it didnt happen with a brand new D05 though.

Yeah, seriously, the "after" pix are giving me flashbacks of my own carnage experiences.

Even though the prop in the wing is kinda cool

Jeez, looks like I'm not alone with destroying fast planes

Here's my latest Slipso. It's not really fast yet, but once I can afford it I'd really like to plant a 16/15/2 in its nose to get it to ~160mph. This one had a bumpy landing on its maiden but it's been repaired and is ready to go again.
