Lights (LED) Show me your lights!

I want to make my quad into a light show. I have made the initial setup of lights. I'm going to get some fpv gear next. Then I'm going to add a led controller. I have been stumped on my search for a good 1-2 channel led controller. I have found a few I will list below.

I have two of these facing forwards.
LED Lights 18 LED for night FPV

These in red on the rear arms and white on the front.
12" LED Light Strip (18 Lights)

I plan on adding a few of these.

Another good LED light option is the MR16 12v downlights. You can pick them up cheap off ebay. They are super bright and dont consume too many amps. Ive used a 12w one rigged up to a receiver controlled switch as a spotlight.

283 LEDs on 9 channels. Eight channels have 28 different chase sequences with speed control. The Rabbit FC has the 8 channel LED outputs. My first build. It is just a little bit too heavy so I took half of the electronics apart to rework them and removed a secondary lower plate and extra battery holder. I am switching to 4S batteries from 3S to get more thrust.

Do you need to use an extension cord when you fly that thing?

Mine looks a little like yours. First night flight with it was last night. I'm thinking of adding strobe or two. That searchlight looks cool too. Hrmmm.

My LED setup is pretty basic. 1m of white and 1m of red along the arms. I'm controlling them with a basic receiver controlled switch, so just on or off.

Some pretty cool looking setups. We need more data captain!

I was trying to achieve the same thing as you with my led panels. I might have to go for those if my light can't do the job. Pretty sick video.
What did you use for a switch on the spot?

franke
That thing looks crazy! I think you'll be much happier on 4s. My quad came to life on 4s.

I have been looking for this video for so long. I saw it when you first posted it. I didn't know the kk board could do that. Great pilot and awesome video. What is the back light on the other tri that looks like night rider? Where did you get it? Pretty cool collection you have there. I dig the props on the floor.

Love the pool noodles. Looks like a robot on the ground. The CD case cove looks perfect.

What are those flashing on the end of the arms?

Mortimer
Looks like mine in the air.

Nice arm coverage. I think I'm the only one with gimped arm lights. I'm going to have to fill that in.

I found a pretty cool multi color led strip. I'm thinking about putting a strip on the bottom each arm and maybe a design with the rest.

RC Multi color led strip

Specs:
Length: 2000mm (LED Strip only - can be cut to size)
Weight: 44g (Total)
Input Voltage: 7v~12.6v

stevoss gives a good description of the modes on HK product thread. Give him a thumbs up for his help.

Mine arrived today. They're reasonably bright running off a 3 cell lipo. 60 LEDs in a 2m strip. Each LED has a red/green/blue component. Cycling through each mode produces the following sequence: 1) Slow cycle (Red,Blue,Green) 2) Constant Blue 3) Rapid Cycle (Red,Blue,Green) 4) Constant White (has a purplish tinge) 5) Constant Cyan 6) White flashing (1 sec frequency) 7 Slow Color Drift 8) Constant Green. That's 8 different modes I can get, not 9. Can't seem to get a constant red mode which is a bit odd. Good value though. If you don't use it on your planes, you can always put it on your Christmas tree at the end of the year
I'll make a video after I re-position the panels.

Now to order lights!!!!!!

Here is the video of the 4x18 led dji f450 naza w/ gps night flying. I crafted some support for the led panel to hold them at the right angle. I'd like to actuate the LED panels to follow the camera. The supports work for now though.

I didn't capture the light with the camera well enough to do it justice. I'll make a better video tomorrow.
