Question

Is this a good deal?

I was looking into building a kit, but I think I may have found a good deal on craigslist. I can't tell what kind of plane it is, but in the post he says it is a .40 size cessna with a new .40 thunder tiger engine. It has 7 servos, working flaps, and comes with a jr sx600 radio. He wants $150 for it, which sounds like a good deal to me. This is the plane..no clue what it is other than a trainer.

Very good deal. Just to really prove it. My boy is going to build his first and is spending $100 for the kit and found a used engine for $75.

Oh wow haha. I'll definitely jump on this then. I've flown electrics for a long time, but haven't flown any nitro yet. I know the f-22 pts is a "trainer", but I don't want to crash it haha. Thanks!

thats a smokin deal!

I would not concider it a true trainer, either, unless its got a flat bottom wing!

just cuase it has a high wing, dosn't make it a trainer, it looks like a nice secound plane, are maybe a trainer if you have a buddy box, if this is your first plane, get some help!

That is a Carl Goldberg cessna Skylane. Not a trainer but a very nice airplane.
Most likely worth every penny

It is the Carl Goldberg Skylane 62 ARF. I have one. I actually learnd to fly RC on this kit version in 1971. It is an advanced trainer, as I didn't want one that would not do aerobatics once I learned to fly. It will do inverted flight and rolls OK as well. A GREAT deal for the price he wants for it!

The original kit was actually designed for 10 channel REED systems, not todays proportional RC equipment.

Where are you located ? I've got a real smokin' deal on a fantastic trainer. How's about a like NEW Hangar 9 Alpha 60 trainer in bind and fly ready condition !!! Has all servos needed and installed, a Spektrum 7-channel receiver with satellite, and a smooth and powerful Evolution 61 engine. These are arguably the best trainers out there, in the perfect trainer size. Just $250 and it's yours, come and get it !!! Shoo
