Zenoah G260 PUM or gas motor question.

Quick question for you Zenoah G260Pum and similar motor owners.

What to do to prevent the High&Low needles from moving on there own?

My Rio51Z with the Zenoah G260pum engine runs great until the needles change the fuel settings on there own I am assuming from vibrations.

So looking for any advice, my current fix for now BUT not yet tested is having silicon tubing over the screws sandwiching both together.

Any ideas or comment please post.

So that clips onto the stock needles, the picture needles look much longer then what mine are.

But anyways thanks you very much for that info.

Not sure about that, it's the stock Zenoah G260pum in the Aquacraft Rio51z.

But anyways thank you very much for the previous post and info, you have provided me with a great idea.

Not silicon but tygon over the needles with a zip-tie, effective and cheap

Lol. Just tried to fit silicon over both screws but that didn't work.

Was thinking about tygon but haven't tried it yet.

Yup, the same thing, a dirt cheap fix. Make them long enough so that they cover the screw heads as it'll make holding the screwdriver in place easier if you're adjusting the needles while the engine is running.

So just insert Tygon tubing over each screw and spring assembly, causing both tube to touch each other and restricting them from moving on there own?

Will surely try that first since I have plenty of that around.

Just snug the zip-tie down as you don't want it too tight which will make it harder to turn the screws.

I've got some similar to the one in the first picture but prefer the simplicity of the second shot as I don't need an extra screw to deal with while trying to dial in a running motor.
I looked all over in my pile of pix to see if I had a close-up shot of mine but no such luck.

I prefer the set in the 2nd pic also but I didn't know if these guys do what you and I do lol. The clamp in the 1st pic was on a 257 I bought and it works great for the playing days but for racing we just don't have time for it lol.

Not racing with this boat, it's simply to have fun on the water at home, cottage or anytime I am near water.

Thanks for all the useful information on how to prevent the carb needles from moving.
