How to MESS WITH MY MIND

I have been looking at doing the AssEnder from Earl Stahl's plans.

Probably still will.

But the prototype did not fly very well So what should I expect

"but due to inherent stability problems and
poor low-speed handling characteristics the type was abandoned."

The model should faithfully provide some interesting flying characteristics ...

Not a problem:

It seems that Earl Stahl did this one also.

I am 68 years old and retired. I have not much to do but make model airplanes.

I live in the Puget Sound area and with the winter rains there is not much time to fly. But lot's of time to build

But I have to finish a couple of my other projects first so I will have something to fly next spring when the sun does cpme back out

The plans for many interesting(TOO MANY ) are available for free. I have already down loaded most of the Earl Stahl plans. I use PhotoDraw2K to scale thais plans uo to a reasonable size.

The Vultee XP-54 was a featured model in the May 1945 MAN and the Curtis XP-55 Assender was in the July 1945 MAN. Looks like either one would be interesting to build (and fly!).
