Still sounds like Reversed. Did you try Reversing the Channel (Rudder) in the Radio? Also Rebind Radio to Nano?

Did you have the Board Powered Off, Batt Disconnected when the Tail Motor was plugged in the first time?

If you replaced the Frame and Boom, could be crash damage to the FET?

If it spins with no throttle and channel is not reversed, I'd guess a blown tail FET

That's really weird! Can't imagine what would make it start spinning before it even finishes its "boot up"

Nothing should be powered up when not bound to the tx. That right there is a sign of a broken board, or at the very least a damaged tail motor fet. Sometimes fets fail out open, sometimes they fail shorted. If it's just the fet, someone with the right skills can fix it. Otherwise, it's back to the factory for warranty.

Is there anyone that fixes tail fets on nanos (I am not soldering on a tail fet, I am fairly certain my poor soldering on my solid tail is what caused this problem), I recall there being some people that will fix one on an mcpx but this is the first I recall seeing blown on a nano. How can I tell if that is the problem? I looked for a burned spot on board because I thought that could be it but everything looks good.

if you do not see burnt spots try to push on the Tail fet while it is powered...see if it does anything different

Will Horizon fix the fet, I will pay, I just don't want to buy a new board. This is my second board and if I have to buy one I might just cut my losses and sell what I have to someone for parts.

First off you guys always surprise me with how helpful you are.
Second, where in the world is the tail fet, anyone have a pic? When I said it didn't look burnt, I meant the entire board looks perfect. In fact it is pretty new.

I am just a parrot

I think it is on the lower left, I don't have my nano with me. I know the one at the top just off of middle is the main FET

There is a "bug" in the DX6i, send -10 for TH. You can find some details in:

Well I just had an idea to make lemonade out of a lemon. If it is a blown fet I think I am just going to see if I can get a brushless upgrade done on it by NCcraig over on helifreak. That way it is worth his time to fix my fet and I have been wanting to do the upgrade anyway, just didn't want to solder it myself. Of course I have no idea if that is the problem because I still don't know where the fet is

Here's a before and after picture of a tail FET replacement. A guy on HeliFreak sent me his board to repair for him.

Obviously, this was a more extreme burnt FET. Usually, you can see a bubble or sometimes not even see anything wrong at all.

Hope that helps you.

Not too bad at all if you are decent at soldering. There is a little bit of frame modifications as well.
