The other quite competitive option with the A60 6XS is 8s 5,800mah (I used Zippy Compact 25c), a 19 x 8 prop, and throttle curve dialled back to limit current/power to around 2,500 Watts. It is at the high end of rev range so I found prop choice critical - I liked PT Carbon or Xoar Beech good. - Gibbo

Yeah, I saw that you'd done that, doesn't fill me with joy though.

Seriously considering buying a A60-7XS and going for 8S with a 20x11 or something.

Sentiment shared - which is why I went to 300kv Motrolfly instead . . . . (pre Hacker 7S)

I probably would have done the same, but now that the 7xs is around, I might go for it.

Hello, owners Mytho S.
I bought the Lindinger.at one rcmodel Mytho S 125 E.
It came very well packed and in good condition.
I weighed all the components and weighs about 2665 grams.
I think I'll feed 8-9 cell battery and will put this engine;
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s..._10_Glow_.html

What do you have?
The ruder servo think I will mount the tail fuselage for better balancing plane and being closer to ruder I will have more precise control.
You where you mounted servo ruder?

Excuse my english difficult.

Hi,
That Hobbyking motor does not cost much for sure. How good it actually is I have no knowledge of. But it's specification to be able to handle max 60 amp maybe will be to low I think but it depend what prop you will use.

I have a MythoS 125E myself and I will use a Hacker A60-7XS motor:
http://www.hacker-motor-shop.com/e-v...&t=3&c=32&p=32

I will use 8 cells.

I will mount my rudderservo in the tail for short connection to the rudder. The balance for proper Center of Gravity will probably be no problem despite rudderservo in the tail. There is plenty of room to move the LiPo battery forward if needed.

I will use Futaba S9551 (at 6 volt) digital servo that I already have or maybe a Futaba BLS551 (at 6 volt) servo for rudder servo.

For elevator servos and aileron servod I will use Futaba BLS153 since I have them already and thay will be enough for this plane.

ESC I have not decided 100% yet but maybe a Hacker MasterMezon without BEC.
For receiver battery I will use a Futaba FPFR2F1800 (1800 mAh) LiFe (2 cell 6.6 volt) 105 gram.

/Bo

Hi folks,

I really like this plane. What are you think about C50-13XL in this plane? Does can fit with prop 21x13?
Does anyone tried this?

Thanks,
Nikola

There is no room for the traditional Hacker geared in-runners unless you do significant mods...

I'm looking for some current feedback on the Mythos 125e from a pattern flyer that is running a10s set-up. Also would like to know the capacity of the packs he is using and whether it has been enough capacity to fly for approx 7-7 1/2 minutes and which motor and esc he is using. I am looking for a capable practice plane that can be used to fly Masters. Thanks, TN Walker

Had a few flights on my Mythos, running 8S 5000 packs with Hacker A60-5S
My main concern is the pull to canopy in KE - both sides. This is usualy indicative of too forward a CG but I've put the CG as far back as I can (about the rearmost position - 220mm from LE) & it still shows. Can't go any further back as my motor is over 100g heavier than the XS motor plus my batteries are heavier (vs. a 6S set-up). I need about a 10% R-E mix to rid the KE canopy pull which is more than I would wish. I'm carying only slight up elevator trim (2 clicks).
Jack F. I note in an earlier post that you needed 15% to fix the same issue.
So what has everone else done with the CG & the need for KE mixing, thanks.

Steve
