Yeah foam is a lot easier. Not to mention repairing it is a lot easier as well. I just got an idea...that airliner they discontinued, i could probably build it out of spare parts...buy the spare parts for the plane, electronics from Hobbyking, and i got myself an Airliner! That will come after the crack yak though.
Thats what i thought too....Hmm let me see...so the airliner was $175 ARF. Spare parts needed to complete:
Wing Assembly: $50
Vertical Stabilizer: $7
Main Gear Assembly: $19
Nose Wheel: $9
Engine Nacelles: $16
Decal Sheet: $6
Don't need the ducted fan unit since im using some from hobbyking.
Total for airframe parts comes out to $162. Thats close enough to the ARF price! Cool!!!! Then I would just buy the AR400 receiver and electronics from Hobbyking. Guess its not expensive because its a foamie?
