I also ordered some thrust bearings for the tail servo mechanism from Amain Hobbies, since HK was out of stock.

Here is what I am using so far:

Motors - NTM 28-26 1000KV / 315W
ESCs - Hobbywing FunFly 30A (These work great with the Paris boards)
Controller - Multiwiicopter.com v4r6 PARIS Sirius™ IMU (Gyro, Acc, Mag, Baro) USB, Paris GPS / remote Compass MAG, and OLED: PARIS 1" OLED 128x64 PID tuning display I2C
Lipo - Turnigy Nano-Tech 2650MAh 4S 35-70C

Now I wait for everything to arrive.

I used a solar 12g digital and currently a 992mg from turnigy. I have the 306 digital. I understand that none of them stand up to a good crash. The motors mounted on top create undue leverage on the tail servo causing it to break.
I say keep it digital but cheap to start.

I'm actually using the 360 from Turnigy but only because I didn't notice that the Savox SH-0257mg would have fitted.
I use the 257 on my 450 heli and it's very smooth. The 360 isn't bad but lacks a little toughness. I already trashed one output shaft through the effects of dumb thumbs. Not sure anything would have survived that dumping mind...

EDIT: Here's another example of blatant tricopter abuse... sorry for the giggling but it was kinda fun.
Motor bearings oiled both before and after, dried off afterwards in the breeze of the aircon heater (and ~35% humidity)

Pratting about with the Tricopter in the snow (6 min 21 sec)

Hi there,

I power on my TTT and i have a problem with my TGY-306G-HV.
There is a continuous noise. I read it is normal because it is a numeric servo but the noise is really annoying.

Better explanation with a small video :
tricopter turnigy talon bruit sur le servo (1 min 1 sec)

I didn't reverse rudder in mixer editor yet ^^

Do you have an idea ?

When the props start turning you can hear it... unless you put your ear dangerously close to the prop!

Make sure the rear swivel assembly is free to turn and that the links are loose enough, otherwise learn to live with it or buy another servo are your remaining options. Mine also jitters around neutral, not quite as bad as that though.

Interesting to hear how loud that servo is. All my digital servos buzz a little and are high stress constantly trying to be perfectly positioned. They usually settle down. If you give the tail a light push does it stop buzzing? Are you running at 6v or 5v? What flight controller is that? KK2?

Servo is powered by a KK2.
Exactly the same for the other friend, KK2 and Turnigy Talon
So, i think its powered with 5v.

Here's the link in the french forum:

It does't stop buzzing when i move the tail. The noise is very important.
More than what you heard in the video.
But now, i'm pretty sure to drop it tonight

Bas news, it doesn't work (persistant servo noise).
Good news , my tri is almost ready to fly.
I have only settings PI to do on my KK2

Guys with the kk2 where do I plug the servo into? Do I plug it into the kk2 or directly to the receiver?

Servo goes into #4 on kk2. Not receiver.
