Hmm not sure what to thing of this, i'm in the process of building my first quad the Talon V2 and even before its built iv'e been thinking of maybe building a Tri to go with it but i'm not sure i like this?

The center plate looks quite big but maybe that's just the photo and whats with the front motor mount, why is it different? it seems quite expensive at $81.99 so i'm unsure on this for now.

Any videos around of it or is it too early?

That front motor mount is actually the rear YAW control and its different because it requires a Servo to tilt that mount.

That frame is very sweet!! $82 isnt a whole lot after you start to design and setup your rear yaw mount...

wow... i mean wow about the price

the old talon quad only costs about 50 bucks.. this costs doubled... even more expensive than the hex..

(did they just raise the price of all talon stuff.. i remember it was just about 33bucks for quad v2)

Well, it sure looks good. Question is, how durable.

Very nice looking frame.
I noticed the photo of the frame in "T" configuration. It seems to me that the T configuration would help to get the props out of the camera view. It also might make the copter more difficult to balance, and it may be less stable than in "Y" configuration.

Does anyone have any experience with a copter in T configuration?

The frame has 3 flyable positions and the T works well but you NEED the cam and lipo as far forward to get the CG close. I have one if these frames and am uploading some videos on it now. I was part of the development in Hong Kong and managed to get a final production sample shipped early! Lucky me. This thing is really nice and the price reflects the quality and design, trust me. The Talon series is a top of the line series. This is more than the Hex because of the additional hardware and design required for so many properly moving parts.

Fly, crash, rebuild.
Don,
Great video on this by the way. The formate of the video works for me. I was surprised because I didn't see it on the new items page this morning. I ordered one and I'm very pleased to see how well it works with the KK2 board. I'm heading to FPV on this frame. The SimonK escs are ready.
What did you use for power distribution board?

Great video. This is so tempting.
Can someone suggest a motor choice for flying an Nex5n on this frame?

Fly, crash, rebuild.
Now that I ordered one, I have a KK2 board for it, but what is the best tricopter flight controller out there right now? Any thoughts

I couldn't resist this after seeing Don's initial video!! I'll be going with a KK2 (as did he) and either NTM 28-26 or 28-30 motors (because I have them). $25 for the KK2 if bought with the Talon Tri.
