You need a different motor mount to do it, the bolt holes on the 540 motor will be different than the stock 380 motor. You can either buy an aftermarket "big block" mount kit, or get the mount parts from the new brushed version that runs a 550 titan motor. I used the traxxas parts in mine. You'll need the blue mount plate that attaches to the gearbox, the plastic spur gear cover and the bare aluminum part that the motor bolts to.

Sweet, I kind of altered mine to do it already. Just drilled some new holes. I have a grave digger 1/16 that uses the brush bigger motor. I see what you mean.
I might just order a new plate...might look a little cleaner...I'll post up some pics when I get it done.

It's going on a ken block talley car. Gonba be cool.

You need the plate, aluminum motor mount and the spur gear cover, not just the plate. All the parts should be like $20 total though, not super expensive at all.

Good luck keeping all four wheels on the ground ever Mine would backflip easily under power, and I had it front flip a bunch of times under breaking.

It's going in my ken block 1/16 rally car. But if I'm able to pull it off, I'll put it in the 1/16 grave digger. It also helps A LOT to put in the center differential. Way easier to drive. It's actually hard to get it to wheelie now. I'm going to put a full size vxl-3s in there cause its my sons and sometimes he drives it through water and wet stuff...

I found all mine did with the center diff was spin the front tires as the front unloaded. It would still accelerate a bit, but it would balloon the front tires up huge and not really move that fast comparatively.

Is this on your mobster truck or rally car?

I can understand that on the mobster truck. In the monster truck, I put foam in the tires helps big tine with handling. And I drive it in loose dirt mostly. I didn't think about the tires going crazy ballooning. 😳

Mine was the actual Mini E-Revo. The grave digger and rally cars aren't actually called e-revo's, even though the chassis is identical.

I'm really confused now, did you put a center diff in the grave digger? It's RWD only, so you definitely shouldn't do that. Now you're just unloading power to a non-existent front diff.

The rally should be fine, it sits too low to wheelie and will drive fine with either the locked center gear or a center diff.

On the monster truck... I added the 4wd. And put in a center diff. Drives good, ESP in loose dirt...

Can't wait till the motor mount comes.

I call them erevo cause they are the same chassis.

Same chassis, but confusing for anyone trying to help since traxxas actually sells a 1/16th scale e-revo, so people assume you're talking about that, not something based off that chassis.

And of course I lost the pinion gear somewhere in my work truck. Gotta go get done tomorrow and then see how long it takes me to break this thing...
