Well ordinarily I'd agree, but with cycling there has always been the need to get 'an edge' - it's gone on always!

Same with boxing - remember Henry Cooper and Ali's split glove

Yes other riders were doped. It's doubtful however, that it was still a level playing field. One, not all drugs are the same, not everyone has access to the best stuff, not everyone has access to a systematic doping program that appears to have been in place for the Postal team, not everyone gives money to those there to police their doping activity as Lance did with the UCI.

Not even close to a "level playing field."

In essence they are giving the titles to another person who was doping but simply wasn't caught. Lance shouldn't have cheated though.

And the Lance defenders fade away into silence... Just admit you were wrong.. He cheated and you now realize it.

Here's another great article from Lance's personal assistant.

I read that article, and it was interesting, although his opinion must be skewed after being screwed over by Armstrong on his alleged bike shop funding promise.

Everyone has an axe to grind, put it to bed already, it's yesterdays sports news. it's done and no one will remember anything but the 7 wins...

Fighting over it this far down the road won't change history...Not unless you get in your star ship and swing back around the sun or your staring in Quantum Leap... Sorry guys, that water done passed this bridge a long time ago.

Problem with the cheaters is that they force everyone else to play dirty just to keep the playing field level. Word gets out in the peloton you've got a few guys cheating, then all of a sudden guys who normally wouldn't consider it are forced into doing just to earn a living. Pretty soon most of the guys are doing it. The cheaters just take away from the honest guys who don't cheat and never make it to the top in the sport because they're racing clean. The cheaters have everyone thinking they're some kind of special naturally gifted athletes when that isn't the case at all. That's why nobody wants to watch the tour anymore after all the cheating stories broke.

The hilarious part of this whole cheating debacle is the douchebags in baseball who cheat to win. I can see cheating in bicycling because you're pedaling your ass off for 5-6 hours a day for a month, but those baseball guys are about as much of an athlete as a golfer. Sit around on your ass in a dugout, swing at a ball, run a few yards, and throw a ball around a field, and get jacked up on steroids to do it.

Lot of the stuff on there I'd already heard rumors of before, especially about the way he treats people who he believes "done him wrong".

That guy's got a big chip on his shoulder. I wonder how much of it is because his old man left him and his mom and he grew up without a dad ?. Seems like he's one bitter SOB.

You don't spit into the wind
You don't pull the mask off the ol' Lone Ranger
And you don't mess around with Lance.

Right, if that helps you sleep better at night. Just because there could be agenda doesn't mean there is one. And I'm sure, in every single situation where someone has ratted out another, we could find selfish motives... That doesn't mean it was in fact, the motive.

You're grasping at straws now and you know it.

Right, I'd believe that if it wasn't one of the biggest sports stories going on at this present time.
