Here are the pics This is how my spinner came out of the box, it has a rushed and poorly made job on the centering hole and an uneven seat for the screw.

And look at this lopsided nut. This is how the nut came on mine, it is lopsided Thats how is screws on and again has uneven pressure on the hub. This will cause uneven pressure on the blades and is probably even dangerous.

I think this is just a poor job with this fan, I went over the thread and all the other spinners look fine. Should I contact Xflight to see if they could do something about this? has any one ever had a claim with them?

In my experience they have been great to work with. Just send them the pictures and ask for some replacement parts.

1300W? Whats taking you so long to post your motor type, kv, and static #s? youve had this fan the longest?

It was a TACON 40mm motor that was in the pic but my test was with a scorpion motor...

Now I haven't tested in the new shroud so things might be totally different.

...I wish the post person would've dropped mine off instead of making me sign for it.

Mine came in this weekend and found the same thing with the nut. My spinner looks fine

I'll email Xfight also and wait for their response.

Now to wait for 2 weeks.

You can always try to get a good nut here in the states. ACE usually sells metric hardware and it is probably a common thread pattern. I have been able to find prop nuts at the local hobby shop that work sometime too.

I'm not sure if a standard metric nut would work. Looking at my part, I'd swear they took a standard 8mm nut and re-tapped the internal thread to 10mm x1.5. This was probably done because a 10mm nut is too high & wide to fit under the spinner.

Maybe this is unique to my fan. I'll wait to hear from others.

Your correct. There is no of the shelf nut that will work without some sort of modificartion.
