How to get up and down movement from a servo

Hi guys,

I bought a servo and am wondering whats the easiest way to get longitudinal movement from it(along the y axis)

Define y axis... what are you trying to get it to do? Servos only work in a rotational plane, but you can translate that to linear movement with a servo arm and linkage.

Are you trying to get 2 axis' of movement from a single servo?

I threw away the idea of trying to get longitudinal movement from a servo. The aim is to try to move a camera up and down so that it can see the face of a person correctly. But I realized that no amount of moving up and down will help. Instead I posted another question here( Please do take a look at it.
