Hey Dan. The Snake has a very classical look. For the Theresa Marie I've committed to keeping the fore and mainmast positions for the brig setup. My potential fix at this point is to extend the transom back a couple of inches. I'm hoping Tim can do his magic and give an idea of what it would actually look like.

Darn this mizzenmast siren song, my build was going along so productively lol.

Andrew The ballance of the rig and it`s sailability depends mainly on the relation between the center of effort of the sail area above the water line and the center of lateral resistance below the waterline. So even if you change the above waterline outline of the ship to fit a mizzen you don`t change anything below the waterline and you would get a seriously unballanced rig i.e. way too much sail area too far aft.
So if youre commited to the mast positions as in teh plan then i`d leave it a brig if i was you else you might end up with a ship that looks strange and sails badly.

ie: there's not a practical way to make the model convertible - it's either/or.

Hi everyone

6 pounder and 32 pounder carronade progress. I'll finish a few of these out with minor texturing and paint and then play around some more with test firing.

okay Dan, I went back and looked up the link to go see the Tiger.

I now am thinking of that line in the movie Matrix. Why didn't I take the blue pill.

I am tapping out. I don't even have the right to read these threads. I am sitting in the sandbox making castles and you guys are building skyscrapers.

so ill just say right now, good luck with your builds and ill stop by now and then to look at works of art.

Dam Tim, your work is Sick.

Thanks for the comments everyone.

Dan, thanks for the vote of confidence.

New step cleats positioned on the port side. Decided to make a positioning layout using my drawings so hopefully things would line up.

positioned and squared with top rail

pins added to steps and holes drilled in the hull

Had a bit of fun with the carronades and 6 pounder barrels. These are by no means finalized but some quick coats of primer and they are starting to look the part. Will be making my own scale rope so this only temporary. Some minor changes to the carriage will also be done to add a bit more detailing seen on the real ones. Very happy with the guns. They will be detailed and weathered when I have them all here.

After a few test shots she's holding together.

more soon

Can someone post a link to Tim's RC tank work please? I am doing well to find the key board let alone something behind it.

Thanks Gary--I will make the trip over there and have a squiggy at Tim's work.

I can hardly wait for Tuesday--I hope the country gets shed of this enormous anchor around its neck on that day!!!!!!

Tim I get the feeling you're building an A-10... building the ship around the guns! They look great.
