Is there any literature on how much rain the Mystique can handle

Not everybody owns a camera, or has a buddy to operate it?

Not just that , I use a hatcam with a Sony Webbie and without a zoom , gliders go tiny very fast and there is nothing to see past 400 ft, you do need a good camera guy with a zoom lens to get good videos like KickAce does here, he is dedicated and does a great job.

There is nothing more annoying then watching some glider reviews, usually by people that know nothing about gliders and the guy never turns the motor off and just does loops and rolls and than says how great a glider is. SO! How does it glide! Just my venting here, I watched a couple of these today! Even Esprit Models do this in their promo videos and they should know better, they sell gliders!

The Mystique can handle .07 inches of rain per hour. I found that on the internet.

Well, if you found it on the internet, then that's the definitive answer.

Why would you expose balsa wings to any rain whatsoever?

In other words I doubt this plane will be a warmliner but it should be very nice for chasing thermals and moving around the sky from one thermal to the next.

I'm not sure if the speed range will be enough to make an enjoyable electro-sloper. Time will tell

Years ago, Michael Selig was the after-dinner speaker at the Nats banquet. He told us about the evolution of the airfoils, and how he had to use the wind tunnel after midnight when the important people were finished. At the end of a delightful talk, somebody asked "So which is the best airfoil?"
Selig said, "Oh, it doesn't matter--they're all the same."
I swear this is true.

So, barn storming through a car wash shouldn't hurt it then

As a pure glider wing loading is about 9.4 oz/Sq Ft. Not a floater but not bad. They say 10.9 as an e-glider which, again, is not too bad. Should handle wind well and should do well on the slope.

I don't know this airfoil so I have no idea of its behavior.

I wonder how much of a launch the wing spar can take.

No manual available on-line yet.
The spar is balsa, I learned today at the field, and I, too, certainly wonder how it will do on a winch. As of 11-17 I have not seen a review of the model except as an electric.

I re-did the flap linkages - sort of a stretched-out S-bend. No binding. Spent the afternoon trimming the ship for the five flight settings set up on my DX18 (awesome). She just floats. Got nice long flights with no thermal lift and light breezes. I'm a happy customer.
