Looking for more thrust with my Tricopter, motor/prop upgrade?
I have an RCExplorer Tricopter with the DT750 motors and 10x4.7 GWS props. It weighs in at 730g without the 3S 2200mah battery. I know it's a little heavy at just over 1.6lbs but when it was lighter it felt more nimble. I would like to get that power back, without putting it on a diet.
My flying style is semi acrobatic. I haven't learned flips or anything like that yet due to lack of space where I fly, but I enjoy zooming in between the trees/treetops in my backyard. I was thinking maybe a higher Kv motor and smaller prop combination would be better? I'm thinking 1200Kv with 8" props. Does anyone here fly a similar setup?
