Stop me before I build again!
Nice fleet you have there, I just picked up some supplied for my first scratch build.

For about $10 at home depot, $1 at walmart, and some recycling it's amazing to think that I might come out of this with a X quad airframe that weighs 300 grams ( no landing gear or electronics ).

Nice family well done.

For my first build I chose wood and shape H.
It flies, it's cheap and I do not have propellers in the videos.

A central plate of wood 40 cm x 10 cm x 1 cm.
Two arms 40cm x 2.5 cm x 1.5 cm
47 cm between the motors (diagonal)

openpilot CC3D
NTM 28-26A 1200kv & Series Accessory Pack
ESC 30A Flashed with SimonK FW
8"x4.5 Propellers
Gopro HD2
Turnigy 9x & DragonLink
2200mAh 3S 25C Lipo

QuadH FPV Lac Leman (3 min 37 sec)

Wow, deceptively simple but there's a lot of thought and experience going into this build. Well done! The H is an excellent platform. Where is fpv camera?

Wasn't clear for me, I thought a 'kit' meant a complete set of of electronics and hardware in one package.

Custom built frames would be more appropriate here then n.n

Sorry, was not trying to degrade your Hex. that thing is sweet, and my tricopter envy's it. However, "Scratchbuilt" means, to me, built from scratch.

Assembling some pre-cut hardware with a baggie full of supplied hardware isn't really scratchbuilt.

But again. Bitchin Hex! That is next on my list for sure.

No problemo- welcome aboard anyway. Love your hex. When you break that frame, then you can scratchbuild one. <LOL>

Attached is a photo of a wooden hex frame I (scratch)built while it was in progress. It flies great.

My new tricopter. I'm calling this one my "scout" tricopter. It's about 75% size of the rcexplorer tricopter, and non-folding.

Go-Pro display stand mount dampened with CD-Drive dampners
$1 WallyWorld Travel Soap Container for electronics
My boiled pvc landing gear design
Bright orange paint and discovery beeper for locating if crashed

That thing is sweet. I really like how your tail boom extends past the prop.

Any FPV video's from it?
