I could see a "cart" design that plugged into a standard news van system for on the spot reporting of breaking news. Long airtime, high current, and highspeed downlink allows for HD cameras and with some of the newer autonomous tech could be piloted into position by someone with limited training. No ladder, boom, or helicopter needed.
Already here.

Problem with taking the skill out of being able to use them is that soon accidents happen then shortly after we arent allowed to fly them anymore.

that is so true . as soon as you can put stuff like this into anyone's hands you will get irresponsible people and they will damage things or invade privacy resulting in bans of these types of equipment

Cut from 2mm CF-sheet, asymetrical shape which helps a lot in terms of visibility in acrobatic flight. Equipped with 2000kv 10g motors, 6a plush esc with SimonK (the old ones when thex were still using atmega) , FrSky RX, 5x3 GF props and 3s 800mAh battery.

The flight controller is a small and compact box where pro mini, WMP with ITG3205 and RX where soldered and shrinked together.

Here is the Vid, make sure you watch it on Vimeo in HD:

https://vimeo.com/54932360

To be honest, it is used for "observation" as well, check my other vids, there is a FPV-video, too ;-)

That is sweet! I'll take two, lol...

I think your right there.

On the subject of teathered multi's, there surely must come a point when a balloon serves the purpose at less risk and expense but then wheres the fun in that

make it a joke on your next party replace all those balloons with multirotors with streamers.
And turn them into flying disco balls by lighting them up

Hello,

we from projectDemon built a new copter. This is the first time we used a CAD program, so hopefully you like it. The material is carbon (centerplate: 1.5mm, sticks (or what word is used in english for it?): 3mm x 3cm).
We didn't test this new copter yet, but will do it on weekend.

The specifications:

Suppo A2212/13
Turnigy Plush 18A
MultiWii 2.1
Drotek 10DOF
9 inch propeller

How do you find it? (the third picture is a comparison with our old copter (emax Gf2210, Turnigy Plush 12A, MultiWii, Drotek 10DOF, LZ GPS 2.1, 8" props)

Regards,
projectDemon

I was waiting until after its maiden to come show it off here, but this is my new FPV platform. Build thread here: https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show....php?t=1774676

This is a total upgrade over my old V-tail, even though it's got the same motors and ESC's... ive replaced the measly KK2 with a much more powerful MWC MEGA with GPS and a 3DR Telemetry kit

The last step is to mount all my FPV gear to the frame. I'll have some video worth showing off soon

I had legs like that for an hour, hated them because of how they affected takeoff and landing.
