Tom.

I would suggest you start your own thread, instead of dragging every thread you reply to, off-topic with your build list.

When you are complete with your scratch-build, this would be the place to show it off.

Thanks for understanding.

I like that a lot- very minimalist and clean looking. Nice job.

Anyone know when it's appropriate to move to 3 blade props, most calculators I see show little benefit?
Yess for the CNC, but the tricopter, the little quadri and the quadri with round arms are handmade. Someone in my club has made a CNC. Nothing about my frames is coming from a shop, except epoxy plates and screw. All design are done by me.

For the 3 blades prop, this hexa was not flying with simple prop. The hovering point is lower with 3 blades prop.

I like that one. Got any pics top down or from underneath so we can see how you extended the center frame of the x525?

I'm not sure if my quad fits into the scratchbuilt category 'cuz it's really more of a salvage operation. It started out as an AR drone 2.0 that busted the central cross twice, so I built a CF hub to accommodate the stock arms and was back in the air. Another crash took out the stock FC so I tossed that, built a multiwii board out of my mirumod parts and wii controllers, added escs and have been waiting for a decent day for its maiden flight (other than hopping around the kitchen floor).

The wiring will be getting cleaned up as the dome won't fit nicely as-is.

Very neat folding solution - are you relying on friction to keep them in place, or is there a locking mechanism?

- I like the hidden electronics with hatch too
