Are those the nx-4006, nx-4008, etc? What size prop are you going to rock?

Lift is where you find it.

Great looking woody! I love wooden quads. In fact I'm wondering if there should be a subforum for them. That way we wouldn't be annoying all those guys that think alu/ fiberglass/ CF is the only way to go.

Did you have much trouble getting the GPS to work with the Crius, and how well does it hold? A friend of mine is busily trying to work that out just now with his AIOP.

Here's my selection of scratch built multis. Started with the Tricopter a year ago and they have been multiplying since! All have plywood centre plates which are then epoxy / glass covered - apart from the Tricopter which is left bare wood.

The X8 Octo is shown in the general line up with a simple test undercarriage, but now has a combined 3 axis camera mount and undercarriage. The mount is fitted with quick release fasteners, the legs unplug, and the octo arms fold for compact packing for transport.

Not scratchy at all!. Looks so good as if it were a production frame! Can you give us more photos? Details on the plug n play, motor mounts, gimble source (home made?).

Looks like you have a favorite motor...

The motors look like DT7x0's; if I might inquire what's the props, power, and flight time on that beast?

Poison arrow. The arms are made from aluminum arrows. Very light. Too much flex in the plywood deck, and the small diameter of the arms made it difficult to mount the motors.

range is only as good as the length and weight of the cable it will look better if it were a NAZA but I use the EagleN6

always funny till someone yank out the power cord
What kind of external power supply do you use if I may ask? It's a good idea to use while you configure your FC.

12v 7ah pb battery but you can also use a regulated 12v 3a powersupply. N your right best use when testing and config the FC that way you wont use your lipo cycles
