Did anyone else have bad wrinkling on their wings? I will have to try and tighten the covering on mine.

Mine came without wrinkles but I still did iron both wings as most of the covering sat a bitt loose. I take some pictures next time at the field.

Well i have DREWLING over the Masala for quite some time now....it's still available and my goal is to still purchase it..i'm learning a lot more about Gliders lately...i have gotten out of the foamy gliders and find myself flying more quality gliders...just recently i got a Graupner ASW 22be (2.6M 105" WS)
I must say that the performance is outstanding..Nothing like a foamy...i got this glider RTF with Phaser Jetti motor for a good price...now that i see how powerful this Jetti motor is on a 3s, now i have some idea of what electronics i will use in the Masala when i do decide to get it..in the mean time i thought i share with you my newest glider to my collection....This glider sort of prepares me for the next step which is the Masala...Can't wait to see that large 143" WS Glider...that must be a joy to see in the sky...well,,,,enjoy my video...i know it's not the masala but i hope you enjoy anyways....

The bottom has only white covering. I added stripes for better visibility which is highly recommended if you don't want to loose it at altitude. I flew the Masala today and acccording to my telemetry made it up to 1300ft thermaling up from 700ft. It was a good day at the field and the Masala is a surprising performer. The only issue I need to work out still is its fast approach speed. In butterfly you need a lot of down and I will most likely need to increase the aileron deflection to slow it down a bit more. Nice ship..

Guys, you can't go wrong with the Masala at this price point. As stated earlier in this thread the quality of the parts and completeness of the package is outstanding. It flies really well and now that I have about 20 flights on it and its finally dialed in and I can state that it flies as good as any of my other full house composites that cost almost 10 times more.

It is good enough to even compete in F5J or ALES provided that you have some light wind. The only thing I still need to change is the butterfly setting to have the flaps go down a bit more so I can make better precision landings.

Don't wait to long buying as Nitroplanes usually does not restock stuff like this and when they are out it may never show up again on their site.

Just got one on a whim, delivered today. Looks to be of pretty good quality; certainly for the price!

I fly mostly 40% Gas IMAC.... but have dabled in a few kit built sailplnes/ E sailplanes and gonna give it a go.

Glad to have found the thread.

Going with:

Hitec 125MGs in the wings and 85MG's on R and E.

Hyperion Gs3025-10/705
Aeronaut CAM 16X8
80A ESC (had one laying around)
3S 3300

Only because I can't fit a DLE 170 with RE3pipes in it.

Wish me luck!

Dammit..u guys r making wanna get this more and more...i'm just concerned over the Weight..88oz as an arf..That's really heavy no?
so that means with a motor, 4s and full servos we are looking at least 100oz..that's what's holding me back....i'm was looking into the E-flite Mystique 2.9m which is only 70 to 75oz Fully loaded Flying weight and that's a really awesome Glider but this Masala is cheaper and BIGGER...i now have the funds but is just a little on the hesitation side.....

ok,,,just purchased the Masala from Nitroplanes.com
It has been burning ia hole in my mind for about 2 months now. so i decided to take the chance and order it. once i get it in the mail and inspect the Items i will at that point decide what Motor, Esc and Servos to use..i have my own AR500 and DX7 Tx so at least that's out the way..

i may have to read this Thread from start to finish again but for a quick Reminder. What's the Best power package for this Masala again? Motor, Esc and Servos? Can anyone share that again? I want to know what's worked successfully with you and what's been proven to work..I may end up getting the same Power package you have so please share. I only want to hear from those who have Flown it and is happy with their power Setup..

Thanks

Very Very Nice....Months of Curiosity has FINALLY paid off. I unboxed Glider and to my surprise the packaging was really Professional, and the quality of the Glider i must say is really nice.Long Fuselage, Very Very Long Wing....I can't wait to get my Electronics in and Fly it..The Build seems like it would take like 2 weeks...it's not a simple Arf..This one is going to take some time...so in the mean time, hear are 1 or 2 Photos...
