Well I had posted previously that no fees were attached with the shipment, but low and behold two weeks later and invoice did show up for a 3.4% on the $360 worth of lipos + $6.50 advanement fee. Called revenue services and got transfered to duties and taxes department. Told them that there was a letter within the shipment that was a "Declaration of FTA made in Singapore" and read the note "We hereby declare that all products within this shipment adhere to Singapore FTA agreements rules under the following HS codes", then asked if she needed the HS code for the batteries and a copy of the letter. Put me on hold for little bit and came back on stated that since this was a small ammount they would waive the fees, but on a normal occurance there would be a $75 appeal fee with customs. Seemed as if they were giving me a break this time and don't expect the same treatment everytime.....just thought I would post up for others for the future.

Ordered my 60c 3300mah 6s packs late last Friday (east coast time), had them at my front door by lunchtime on Wednesday. UPS is incredible! Revolectrix got them out very quickly too. The packs are perfectly balanced and I'll be putting the beat down on them in the next few days!
Also, they are packed extremely well. The batteries were individually wrapped in bubble wrap, inside a box that had ~3/4" foam lining, the box was wrapped in a couple of layers of bubble wrapped and put in a UPS bubble envelope. I was very impressed with the packing. Edit: John, what's your opinion on storing lipos in a refrigerator when they won't be used for an extended period? Thanks! |

I've heard that below freezing isn't good for them..but you hear all kinds of stuff about lipo maintenance it's hard to know what to believe. I also put mine back to storage right after flying and I've been having very good service out of all of mine. Just wondering if I could squeeze a bit more life out of them by "cold storage".

"Back ordered items usually take 10-14 days to be in stock unless otherwise identified on the site." So 2 weeks at most probably. |

Now the debate... I need a 3s 3300, not a common size. But 6s 3300 is common so if they are assembling them here then then not a concern as they will have the cells. I don't need it till the snow melts so I'll probably wait to see what gets announced.
