APC vs. Master Airscrew props

Which is better?

In my experience the Master Airscrew props usually hit the ground & break where the APC does not. But maybe that's because APC is an inferior prop (bends too easily). Opinions?

YAY the tourists are GONE
MAS-S2 for my 4 stroke -- torque
APC for my 2 stroke-- speed

and the MAS-S2 props are almost indestructible

I have a ram 11x6 on my os 46 max fx. Im alright but hevent tried another prop on it yet. It has hit the ground many times taxying and am het to replace one. I bought three of them when i got the plane because it was my first non trainer and first glow plane. Just throwing in another brand

M/A for my Warbirds. Zinger or Vess for the others.
Really depends on the application and what your looking for in performance.

MAS, APC & Zingers are all in my box. I like the multi-pitch Zingers for my 4-strokes. Nice kick off of low throttle.

None of them break if you can land your plane like the designers envisioned.

It really depends on the engine and the airplane you intend to fly. Either prop could be best in either case. But the APC props tend to be more quiet than the MA props, due to their more aerodynamic design and razor sharp scimitar design.

I think you got it wrong, it's the opposite...

Curious thing I've noticed is that the MA props always break at the hub where as the APC's break part way along. Why so?

I also think the APC's break the tips off easier.

I have built and flown a few Twinstars, they are good planes and two OS 25FX engines would be perfect for it. I would run 9x6 props - better ground clearance than 10".

I ran two O.S.40LAs with 10x6 on my old Twinstar and the ground clearance seemed okay. (shrug). What's the deal with the electric-only props. They can't be used on fuel engines - why?

Presumably electric only props are lighter construction ?
From my experience APC are a much better prop in terms of performance, however i have heard a number of reports that APC props in larger sizes (20" plus) a prone to breakage.
