i just dug through my pile until i found one small enfugh LOL . some one will chime in with the correct answer for you maby parsons will know what most have used .

I think he's asking what it is, not what thickness of shim to use?

The purpose is to remove the binding from the case being too tight. You can do the same thing by just loosening off the screws that hold the gearbox together slightly until the gears spin easier.

your right parsons have to slow my reading down . thanks as parson said if not the alloy gearbox no shim is needed just loosten the three screws until no binding is found .

if you hold the truck in the air set trim to half throttle hold one wheel and slowly loosten the screws one at a time and when i say slowly more like an eith of a turn per screw at any time equily . you will hear the truck gain rpm at the point it stops gaining stop . and every so often do this agin but you may need to tighten them as the gears wear . micros require alot of care and attention hair and other debris can make a huge affect on performance .
