Which a mere 7 years ago was totally impossible to do legally or technically.

I do not, repeat: do NOT, hate Spectrum.
I'm just flying CL and an old JR with FrSky telemetry upgrade.
That's all. Really. ;-)

Maybe we need to ask ourselves how deep we are willing to go to find an answer.
Its only been a short while since every radio with a stubby black antenna was referred to as "Spektrum".I seem to remember this was true of all systems no matter what the brand was.
Before that most unexplained failures were simply called "lockout" whether they were actually equip related or brain/thumb related.
So in a roundabout way "Spektrum" did become synonymous with "lockout"
in a warped kind of way.The key word here is "unexplained".
Then the "latent Luddite tendencies" come into play. Then there is contempt and hate. Then it all goes full circle and noone really remembers what the original question was.Hate kind of seems to do that.
Dang...I forgot what I was going to say.I guess it wasnt important.

No problem. Given the extraordinary situation (so many pilots flying in close proximity with the SAME aircraft) I did not expect that anyone would think that the primary cause of so my crashes would be technological. However.... this is Spektrum we're talking about...

That's what's so great about being in this hobby today! Heck, our aircrafts can almost fly themselves on top of that.

Technically though, 7 years ago, you could have done much better... You could have got all 100 airplanes airborne with only one pilot and one Tx but using the same crystal in all the airplanes. Not sure how long they would have lasted up there though!...

No! Radio problems can and do happen to every manufacturer's radio at one time or another. This has been true for at least the past 34 years that I have been flying RC.

Some in this thread would like to perpetuate the fairytale that Spektrum radios are somehow inferior to other manufacturer's brands of radios or more prone to interference or failure. I know from personal experience that is not the case.

Threads like this exist because there will always be one or more Trolls who have nothing better to do than spread misinformation to get a rise out of someone. All you have to do is pick a participants Username and look at what they have said on other threads. Usually you will find a pattern of either Helping or Hindering.

The OP may have been sincere when starting the thread, but I see no reason for it to continue to exist. It is not helping anyone and just drawing flies.

You can still do that today. The Jim Walker's of RC would be the ones to do it.

It's a joke. The same lady calls stations to protest daylight savings time because it's causing her mums to burn up.

Thats a poor sales pitch Andy. I'll NEVER buy your product while I see folk around having problems. I learn from others mistakes

sort your product out and I'll consider it, till then no thanks
