Who wants a free Corona CP upgrade?

OK, now that I have your attention,

I have developed a rotor head for my homebuilt heli that I think would be perfect for a Corona. It's a full bell-hiller head, but radically different from other designs out there. It has fewer parts and is more durable (I crash mine all the time).

I'd love to see this design used on Coronas. The problem is that I don't have a Corona. So, if I can find someone out there who is daring enough to send me their Corona, I'll build a CP head for it and send it back to them. I know it would take some trust to send me your heli, so if you are close enough to me, maybe we could arrange to meet at my house (Hyde Park, NY) and install it in a day if we get everything ready beforehand. I wouldn't harm any original parts.

Your radio would have to be capable of eccpm and you would need to have an extra servo for it.

You would then report how it worked on this board.

Once the design is done, maybe we could get one of the mod manufacturers here on this board to manufacture it for everybody else.

What do you think?

My homebuilt has a 35" rotor span. I make my own wooden blades with flat bottom airfoil. I would build the Corona head so that it used the Corona blades.

Here's a video of the homebuilt:

OK, I've gotten a couple of positive responses. Give me a few weeks to build one to fit a Corona shaft and I'll get in touch with you then. At that point, I should be able to turn it around in a couple of days.

Don't forget to make it adaptable to both 4 and 5mm shafts. Many of us use the oversize shaft kit, for more durability and rigidity.

You're right 5/32. This equates to 3.98mm or so.
