..sorry, we had a race on the weekend

As always, very nice design!
A few questions come to mind:
- Where do you get the rear wheel and front wheel from? In your last bike you used a Buggy front wheel, still the same?
- Is this an O-Ring driving the rear wheel, or were you just too lazy to design a proper Belt ( )

I hope to see your Bikes one day in real, but I think you are not in Riccione next week?

Hi Gartenz.

You pointed one of the very special details of this bike, the custom designed and then "printed" front and rear wheels.

Iīm so tired to cut and glue Venom rings with Losi discs, so I ordered a one piece set from Shapeways.

These will arrive by the very first days of September and Iīll show you then.

About the "O-Ring", Iīm too lazy...

Not in Riccione (I donīt like to go to watch, I want to race...) but you can see it in real this Christmas...

Order yours today!!!!

Oh, do I get a christmas present?

Do you already have experience with glueing things to the shapeways material?
This could cause some headache..

BTW: What Inserts do you use on the 8th scale bike?

Edi warned me about it, but I have to get in my hands and start glue testing.

About inserts, Iīve been racing Venom/ZH front and rears. But I plan not to use them anymore...

I canīt say more about any solid insert wheel for 1/8 scale...

Crazy Design!

Any chance to get the battery "laid down", and move the ESC up?

Hi Gartenz

Yes, it could be possible to place battery "down under", but I need to cut two windows in front subframe (battery tape) and place esc inside current battery crate. But ballast plate/esc mount must be removed and another 2mm carbon spacer designed to fit there.

The low battery setup will allow to use higher capacity ones but these wonīt fit SB5 style. You have to tape them in a OTO/ZH/Venom way (flat).

But these big batteries will set you far, far away from the weight target, 450gr.

We use to race these bikes in 7 min classification heats and 10 min finals, and you donīt need a 1800mAh for that format.

I know, I run a 1300 in my GPV-1, and that's plenty of runtime.

I just thought it could be a way to move the CoG further down, but I'm sure you thought of that already
