On the Futaba trainer port pin 4 and 5 is V+ and V+ switched.

But what is the difference between V+ and V+ switched ?

Pin 4 goes to the battery +ve, p5 comes from the pwr switch, so only live when set switched on.

It seems to be the voltages from the battery.

Thanks. For some unknown reason I had expected it to be 5 volts.....

V+ Switched can be supplied from an external source which then only powers the encoder in the TX and not the RF output. This is used when connecting two TXs together with a trainer cable. The master TX supplies the power when switched on and the student TX takes power and remains off at the switch.
