10mm x 1mm versions are extremely common and available on sites such as dealextreme.com. The thickness will affect the attractive force, but as long as there's enough headroom in that figure for it's intended use, it won't matter. The thinner ones are also more likely to crack when snapped together, but the sliding mating action in this case should prevent that as would a continuous epoxy backing in other uses. And it's certainly better than nothing no matter what the thickness. |

Anyone receive their B2 yet? mine is still sitting in Hong Kong! Placed my order on August 7th It's been more than 2 weeks and my package has yet to leave from that island. This has to be the all time slowest order I've had with Hobby King. typically, most of my orders are received within 10-11 days from date placed.

Mine showed up and the prop adapter was drilled by a drunk, shaft is also bent.......shame because all the rest of it is okay.

I have my B2, taking my time with the build. Installed 1/2" magnets from HobbyLobby but they are somewhat big. Definitely holds tight though! I am planning to use my B2 for FPV, thus I already know I want a bigger motor. I'm looking at this, what do you all think?

If it makes you feel any better, I ordered mine on the 5th, and I don't think it has left the island either. It says "processing at sorting center" in the tracking information.

OK! it's strange, I don't think there is any kind of holiday going on over there currently, it's not like they are having their Asian New Years celebration, which won't be until February next year, so I don't know what is the hold up. |

You would have to prop down to use that higher KV motor, otherwise you may end up burning up the motor and/or the ESC, for an FPV setup, you definitely want to swing the biggest prop you can to maximize efficiency and thrust to overcome the added drag and weight. if you want to swing the stock 7" prop, you really shouldn't go higher than around 1300 kv to keep the current draw within reason. Another option is to use the stock motor with a larger diameter prop, perhaps an 8x4e would work better than the stock 7x5e. You may have to clearance the tail boom slightly. |

Hey guys, my B2 arrived today.
Just in case anyone is interested the servos are HK15178. I personally am not trusting them with FPV gear, but I reckon they'd be fine for line of sight flying. They are kind of tricky to get out, but if you are patient they come out real clean without damage to the foam. Long nose pliers are essential for getting them out. |
