which PZ ultra micro to get

I am looking to get a UM to fly in a smaller field and a large backyard. I am looking at the T-28, Corsair or the P-51. all are similar in specs except the corsair uses a brushed motor unlike the others using a BL. which would be more stable in flight, of the three the corsair is the heaviest, but is one better in the wind by the design of the plane. and last but not least which might be the most durable. I have been flying a super cub lp for a while and feel real comfortable with it and want to move into a 4 channel setup. I also fly helis.

Thanks
Howard

The micro T28 and P51 do not use a different motor. They are all brushed. Perhaps you are referring to the large ones?

The T-28 is reputed to be the easiest to fly using ailerons.

T-28 would be best of those 3 for your situation.

Got back from the lhs with my new UM T-28. Thanks for the conformation, this is what I was thinking based on it's big brothers reputation.

My next question is, I have some batteries from my 120sr 1s 500 & 550 mah and some from my mcpx 200,240 & 250 mah. If I open up the battery slot on the plane is it safe to use them. I'm thinking they would give me longer flight times.

The T-28 will fly for over 8 minutes with HK nanotechs.

The wing is kind of weak and the controls would get pretty mushy with a 500 mAh battery.

Those will work, as well as the 500 mah. Nightflyyer has a video in which he got over 25 minutes on the 500 mah. The 250's would give about 12-15 minutes depending on throttle. You do have to cut out some foam, and be sure to balance it.

Yep I fully agree with this comment... I followed Nightflyers idea and cut out some foam to allow a 1S 500mah E-flite battery in. I used an adapter that you can get from E-flite to plug in the battery.

With it in I can fly for around half an hour and that is with WOT!! Mind you be carefully flying with even a minimal amount of wind with this battery in as for me the wind and extra weight made handling a bit difficult and ended up with a crash nose first.

So yes balancing it just right is important. Also if you take off using the landing gear, youll need extra runway......

Regards,
Nath.
