No mention of improved pots. I asked in the discussion area for the product.

Sweet! V2 on order for my Yak55!!!

I am ELATED that this V2 unit is out. This ORX system is really nice, but my biggest beef on serious aerobatic planes is that if set slightly too aggressively, the ORX may deaden the servos to give that positive "snap" needed in some manoeuvers.

Being able to set it for in-flight as needed with an AUX or Gyro channel is too awesome!

Curiosity Q: anyone know whether this unit can tolerate the current draws for a set of four digital servos? I have HD1810MGs for my Yak55 (see build log and blog if curious) and do not wish to brown out my plane...

TIA,

My Flash 3D has very agressive throws with about 50 deg throw on a flying stab works as well as it did without the gyro. You only need to drop the sensitivity down to suit. If you do knifedge holding a bit of rudder, elev and ail. It will run on a straight line as long as you hold the settings. Very happy with it in that respect. Still does the violent aerobatics that I like.

Wow, impressive that they have V2 out so soon. Quite a price increase though. But at the rate they were selling, I can see why they did it. Hope they got the pots more linear and redid the firmware to eliminate trying to correct for commanded control movements.

You are correct. I was thinking of the $5 or $6 for the Orange RX receiver. My apologies.

Don't apologize to Pug. It will only encourage him to post another one of his tens of thousands of off topic JPGs from his hard drive vault, that we all do so enjoy.

LOL
But to get back on topic. Rn dog is guided by a OrangeRX 3-Axis Stabilizer, with the gains set too high.

Well, after an eternity of waiting for the Eagle Tree unit I gave up and ordered the Orange V2. Hope the pots are better.
