Help!

Full scale humanoid motor help

I am hoping to find some motors that could support a full scale humanoid robot/exoskeleton/power suit and i have yet to decide whether it will run on battery or wall power so any ideas are good as long as the batteries are relatively small and the motors have 50+ lb ft torque and are <= the size of you calf.

Rc motors won't have the torque you want. Probably a hybrid stepper motor.

Then I would actually recommend you go to cnczone.com. Plenty of info about steppers and drives. Your probably going to want gecko drives with some good stepper motors. Stuff like arduino and the like will not have enough power to run steppers that big without an external drive.
