World's smallest Flying Micro robot

Check out the news on this:

It uses an ultrasonic motor, weighs 8.9g, and power is 3watts.

"The company will display its latest offering at the 2003 International Robot Exhibition, which will be held at Tokyo Big Sight on November 19 - 22, 2003."

Now if they can get the weight down to under 1/2 a gram, it would be affordable, right?

Actually, I was just watching something on AOL Broadband, and it mentioned that the US Govt made little UAV's that looked and flew like dragonflies....I'd be curious to see a comparison. And yes they did have pictures and videos of it working.

I think that one of the unique things about this little flyer is that it is robotic. It has some kind of self contained guidance system. Also they mentioned that it uses Bluetooth technology which is a wireless digital data format. So it must have some data processing capacity.
