I was getting more and more depressed watching that video. Not only can you fly without nosing in all the time... you were keeping the darn plane almost perfectly centered on the screen. I kept thinking about how my hat-cam sessions always went - plane constantly flying in and out of the field of view, etc...

I was just about ready to end my pain when suddenly, at 0:50 ... your plane flew out of the field of view !!!! The Xacto knife fell from my suddenly numb fingers, and I must have made a cry of relief... because The Missus asked from the other room

"Everything alright dear?"

"Yes dear, everything is going to be all right." I said, putting the knife back on the work table. "I just found out that I'm not the only one who makes mistakes!"

She called back in a cheerful comforting voice... "I could have told you that."

However, as I turned back to the screen, I thought I heard something that sounded like "You just make more of them."

Ad Astra... through shared ooopsies.

I gorilla glued my motor in last night and that sucker isn't going anywhere but forward! ;-)

Is the CG on the SSE at the midway point between front and back still?

It will be nice to not have the battery riding in the front seat for once! Although I guess now the danger is of it being chopped up by the propeller

The CG is about 12" straight back from the nose . Are you using a prop saver to mount your prop ?

Maiden this weekend ?

We have had strong wind for a long time now that doesn't seem to be abating... I hope it will calm down soon, because I've got the itch!

(OOh, I wrote this yesterday but it seems like today we are getting a break from the wind! Maybe I'll get a chance to maiden at lunch time

Lets see... in my short and checkered flying career I've chopped the battery up (it smoked, but didn't catch fire)... I've three-blind-mice'd the antenna on a receiver, I've given body whacks to two receivers, I've cut the wires on an ESC, whacked the servo leads on two servos and the ESC, and ... gosh, I've never chopped up a servo... well, imagine that. I've got a new goal !!!

Ad Astra, so we can chop them with a propeller

You might want to use a prop saver , I've had a really hard time landing mine on it's tail ( did it one time out of 15 or 20 attempts ) , so I mostly land it on it's side .

Oh yeah

you know, it's a month or more after that, and the wounds still haven't fully healed. It's amazing how often one hits, rubs, scrapes, or abuses the backs of the main knuckles of the finger/palm joint.
