I afraid I don't know. Everybody that I know that has made the electric conversion on the Rascal has been able to balance it without any added weight. All of the Rascals that I know of have used different motors using 8, 10 or 12 cells and have all balanced.

I got excited when I saw the "Build" thread for a Rascal 110 thinking Sig had produced a Kit or plans. What a let down down.

I just use analog metal gear servos. I don't remember the number but I do use Hitec . I use metal gear servos because I've had bad luck with nylon and carbonite gears. Most metal gear servos sill have one nylon gear but I have not had any problems with them yet.

I just picked up these mg servos, they have almost 100oz of torque on a 2s lipo.
(anyone have any experience with these, good or bad?)

I think I have those on my flaps. They should be good all the way around.

Hey skyjet, would you mind telling me specificall which servos you are using in the plane in your latest videos, (I really like the way that plane is set up).

Well about 8 years ago I was flying my Rascal with Karbonite geared servos and one day when I taxied it in after a flight I noticed one of my ailerons wasn't moving. I found out the gears had stripped. Then I thought if that would have happened to my elevator servo I would have carried the Rascal back home in a Hefty bag. So I panicked and bought 4 HS 985MG servos for the elevator, rudder and ailerons. These same servos are in my new Rascal. I do like them, but I don't think you would notice any difference with HS 645MG's. I do have the HS 645MG's for the flaps. The HS 985MG's cost almost twice as much as the HS645MG's.
