It's an open development platform, and not really a bind/fly type solution, but it's tiny at 9*9cm, if a tad expensive, but interesting nonetheless
Definitely interesting, but not for ~150USD...

Tri-Quad-Hexa-Octo-copters!!
Hi S,
It depends Generally speaking, slightly smaller diameter and or pitched props on a given AUW airframe will be more stable in windy conditions. For optimum flight performance, changing prop sizes on a given multicopter AUW usually also requires a gyro sensitivity adjustment by a POTI or PID settings via a setup application. Sometimes you can guesstimate minor prop size and pitch changes and get some improvement in your particular build. Smaller props on a given AUW are also usually less efficient so there will be less flight time on the order of seconds to minutes when you downsize. On these mini and micro sized multicopters, most of which except for the Walkera Ladybird, that do not have a way to adjust gyro sensitivity, you are left with minor changes in the various available ~50mm props, or by doing some prop trimming and balancing.
Cheers,
Jim

+1.
Also, I'm not too happy with the board being naked.. Also arms look very delicate as does the overall frame.. I'm just worried there is no protection of any sorts if there is an unforeseen crash or hard landing...performance wise...very impressive.

Yeah, I was hoping it would be around half that, but I guess they're not producing enough to hit volume pricing

Hi, I am new to quadcopters...some experience with 450 helis...
I had an heli max 1sq quad, I like this quad but I sold to a friend.
I'm looking for another quad... my options are between Turnigy Micro Quad V2 PNP ARF Includes KK2.0 LCD Flight Control Board and X230 Mini Quadcopter Combo (w/Motors, ESCs, Propellers) from hobby king. I have my Spektrum DX7 radio from my heli.
Any other option? Any experience with those quads?.
Are they less toyish?
Thank you in advance

I'm not sure, if this the right thread for you, as most of us discuss about "toygrade" copters

As we are talking here of RTF MICRO quads, not about ARF Mini Quads (defined by size)
I think your questions would better fit here:

From the same site: this is a 9-axis board. Has a barometer on it and apparently 10 degrees of freedom. It can not only go into the past, but also to next Tuesday fortnight. http://www.goodluckbuy.com/cj-v3-mwc...uadcopter.html

This one looks better :

Mini Micro ARF Quadcopter MWC Flight Control Multicopter+Motor Prop Kit - $55.37
http://www.goodluckbuy.com/mini-micr...-prop-kit.html

Mini Micro Quadcopter MWC Multiwii APM2.5 Flight Control Board(Board Only) - $34.23
http://www.goodluckbuy.com/mini-micr...ard-only-.html

Seems to have a MultiWii like flightcontrol.
