I went to the Apliu Street market yesterday and the quads were not as much in evidence as before. Either they got less popular or that they are so popular that many have been sold out. The V929 is still the dominant quad and I saw the Syma X1 and HuanQi 881 for the first time. The HuanQi 881 was not cheap and costed over $40.

Haha *random comment about the X100 being the official quadcopter of BANGgood*
I think the translation program recognized the first character of "performance" as the character for sex...oddly appropriate...isn't it? :P

Anyone got their Mini Pet Quad shipped from banggood lately?

Mine has been stuck at backordering:

2012-08-02 10:25:32 Payment Confirmed
2012-08-02 11:01:19 Ready To Process
2012-08-06 11:04:46 Back Order

Even it says it usually ships in one business day.

Their "modes" numbering are different from conventional ones. Mode 1: throttle and aileron are on the right! Mode 2: throttle and aileron are on the left! Mode 3: throttle and rudder are on the right! Mode 4: throttle and rudder are on the left!

It claims to have a 6-axis gyro instead of the usual 3-axis gyro and 3 accelerometers. Hmm.

Press the 3D mode button to activate 3D mode, then increase throttle, then move the elevator or aileron to the max, to execute a flip in that direction. Each successive flip has to be 2 seconds apart.

It has a knob to adjust the max throttle, apparently useful for newbies.

It has search lights.

So yes I have a small quad available with mode 1 TX
I have ordered the MJX-X100, hope everything will be ok

Was it really a v939 and not a v929? Where did you order it from, Banggood.com? My v939 was ordered (from Banggood) on the 26th of June and it's still listed as backordered.

I also recently received the UDI U816. Ordered from Tmart on 8/1, arrived on 8/7 (shipping from a NJ warehouse to Chicago).

Initial comments...

-Like others, first impression is wow, this thing is small
-Definitely harder to fly than my Blade mQX, almost like the sticks are too sensitive
-Motors get pretty warm even after a short 2 or 3 min flight
-Battery connectors seem different than any other I have seen and very hard to unplug. may have to file down the locking features a little.

If MJX put as much thought into the design of the X100 as they did with the F45, it should be a good little quad - rtf out of the box, durable, good flight times.

I can't wait for your first impression . . .

regards . . . g
