Ron haslam pepsi suzuki completed

Hi .
Just completed my rebuild of my Mk I Pepsi Suzuki.
I wanted to be a little different , so did it in the colours , as run by Ron Haslam .
I had to make up all the helmet decals for this , but that was easy using a paint prog
Just got the Honda NSR to do now for the complete set.

I myself can't find a Mk1 Suzuki fairing and tank. Been wanting to use my repro decal set for a while now like you did (great job!). If anyone knows where I can get a used one, let me know. I've been searching ebay every other day for years.

Woohoo!
Just won an unbuilt (well partially built , but the bodywork, rider and decals are untouched) Mk1 honda NSR with electrics , so I can build that as standard to complete the set
I am going to modify the old one I have for rebuild , and do it in Spencer colours .
I will have to do a bit of modding to the seat unit and fairing , but that should be no problem

Hi.
Thanks !
I don't drive the Mk I s (well , I have driven them inside on carpet a bit ( no grip at all !)) , but my new HOR has been driven with unpainted bodywork and rider on it , and with the brushless it is loads faster than I remember the old Mk I .
Still learning how to drive it , and set up the brakes so I don;t just lock up the front wheel and throw it down the road !

I can drive mine in a straight line or turn right, LOL. I can't figure it out, I may have to go to direct steering and be done with it

Nice buy Dunc, wasn't cheap that one!

Do you know on the Mk1 bikes if all the frames are the same and if it was just the fairings that where different?

Hi.
It wasn't cheap , but it does come with the electrics as well , and a new decal sheet I can scan .
All the frames are the same , just diferent colours of plastic .

That's a fantastic idea, here's pics of a Mk1 Honda painted in that scheme.

I noticed on the two mk1 frames I have that they are the same on the front, but the tail section is a little longer on one than on the other.

They should be the same, proof is because you can only find one p/n for the Mk1 frame on the spare parts list (well technically there are two - just one is bluish/gray and the other is black).

The only different piece in the tail section is there is a white piece sandwiched in the back that is different between the Honda and Yamaha because the tanks are different lengths.

Thanks for the correction. My shorter frame was painted, after reading your post i stripped the paint and found out the tail had been trimmed down for some reason. It's amazing how much a sloppy paint job can hide
