You can use any combo you want of cells, they just have to be same Mah, and C rating.Do not mix different brands of batteries either.

1 thing I did notice when flying, is that mine wanted to roll right and took some trim on ailerons to get it level. I will check lateral balance tonight, but it seems it might be more then that. Wings and tail look in align so at this point I am not sure what is going on, I did read were another flyer had same problem with his. I will see what I come up with and post results.

2nd flight Cockpit video

Capt soap (Lee) let me install his little camera in canopy, its tinted so videos a lil dark, but still looks cool!
Habu 2 cockpit video of 2nd flight (2 min 34 sec)

Until this video, I had NO idea water was on other side of that tree line! The guys told me there was water there, but you can not see it from field.

Hey guys, I was just wondering if the included fixed landing gear can be used with the eflite retracts? I have a set from another donor but I have already chopped up and bent the eflite struts and don't want to buy another set. Maybe the fixed gear can be cut and used as retract struts.

The original mains fixed struts can be cut down right at the elbow, flat spots filed and will work perfectly in the retracts. The lengths are good and they have a tension coil too. The nose strut is just too short to be used. The aoe would be horrendous so I had another nose strut with a coil that was longer that I ended up using in its place. I think the eflite struts that come with the tricycle kit are just too rigid and the coils too hard to be effective. When I assembled mine I had wing mounts, servos, and brackets that all came loose or didn't have enough glue on them. I used a white silicone and put everything together.

Yup, thats what I came up with....the nose would be way low using stock gear in retracts. I like Eflights gear, but then agian mine is heavier then stock.....

Great thread and some awesome videos. My stock Habu2 is built and waiting for its maiden. Being relatively new to rc planes, I'm anxious about taking it up and have a few questions.

Can it land dead stick? What kind of flight times can I expect completely stock using a 4s 3200mah? And lastly, should I think about adding flaps for easier flight?

Thanks

Thanks Boro, I only started this thread as other has about 10 pages of the talk before it was out....Mine gets right to it.
As long as you setup good, deadstick(motor off glides) are easy.Stock I would say you do not need flaps,I dont have them and mines heavy but lands fine.I did over shoot my 1st landing but that was a get to know it flight. I can now land it anywere, no flaps.
Flight times I cannot answer... I never tried stock.

Thanks. What camera did you use and how did it fit in the canopy. I'm thinking about fitting my gopro somewhere.
