I have been asked by our contest organizers to notify everyone that the ASA 2012 F5J/ALES Challenge is scheduled for September 7th through 9th at our flying site in McIntosh NM. This link gives pertinent information and links for registration.

I am told there are some minor errors on the form that will be corrected as soon as our organizer gets his computer back. The rules are basically the same as they were last year and the club does have a few altitude limiters we can loan out to those who don't have their own. So, set your sights on NM that weekend and come join us for a great time.

Our club voted tonight to modify the rules that are posted on the sign-up web site to allow one re-launch within the 10 minute flight window. New rules will be posted soon. The rules and the CD will explain how the re-launch will work should you decide you need one.

Also, I have started a pilot list and will try to keep it reasonably up to date but some travel plans may keep me away from the internet for short periods of time.

The contest is only about a month away so make your plans to come join us for some great fun.
