Hope to get more done tomorrow so I'll post some more pictures.

I'm thinking this should be very soon. I know that John (aircontrol), the designer, was on vacation. I'm anxious to here others opinion of how it flies.

Progress update:

Spent a couple hours today working on the Mako and I got to the point shown in the picture below. All that's needed is 10 minutes with a sanding block and the floats will be about done. Hopefully I can get some work done on the fuselage tomorrow evening.

Stay tuned.

Next Time we go float flying, take a piece of your thick foam insulation and we will use it as a carrier deck to land on and take off.

4 x 8 ft anchored at each end should do the trick I think I could have a piece for next time ... some yellow and black stripes for CAUTION around the edges should suffice. should we raise it off the water a foot or two to make the splash in's more dramatic

I am still making steady progress on the Mako. I sanded the floats and moved on the the fuselage. The last Mako I built I didn't like how the fuselage ended up because I didn't have a good way to hold all the parts together while the foam-tac glue dried. This time it went much smoother because I pre-curved each piece of foam on the edge of my workbench before I glued it. This method only needed a couple of pins to hold things in place. Turned out much better.

The foam work is all done except for trimming the hatch so I will be starting the installation of the electronics this evening.

Stay tuned.
