Any suggestions. Will be flying outdoors in a breeze. Specs call for up to a 2216.
SteveFlysCrayCray,

I'll take a stab at this since I have had one of these for long time, Here is a 60 gr solution, but that 60 gr includes everything, X mount, bullets and prop adapter.

Angel Series from SunnySky

2212 1400 Kv

Does very well with stock GWS 9 X 5 DD prop, I custom cut a GWS 10 X 6 DD down to 9 X 6 at got these numbers a while back.

Amps peak 25.6 Amps, Watts peak 280 Watts, Volt's Min 10.7 Volts on a fresh 1150 mAh 3S batt.
Thrust was 875-900 gr.

Works for me...

Didn't think the landing was this hard, but boy it cracked open.
What kind of foam was used in the kit?

Was not a great maiden. But, a little foam and some glue and she'll be ready to try again!

Maiden Flights

Bought the kit from WMPF. Nice kit. And has just about everything you will need except electronics.
Just finished mine and made the maiden flight yesterday. Bit of breeze but not bad. Also cool on the fingers!
After two flights, still just becoming familiar with the flight characteristics.
Made two videos with my GoPro.
Think I am really going to like it.

Thanks, Mark!
Hoping to fly it again this coming Sunday! Weather looks better. I want to see how it compares to my "Flying W" and Polaris.

It has flown, crashed, fixed and flown again in the interim. Nice little plane.

In my best South Park voice

They killed (and then brought back to life) Mako? Those Bastards!

That's the "Mini-Mako" isn't it?

I built my Mako back in 2013. We don't have many float fly events around here so it mostly hangs in the garage. But I was out at an event yesterday and one of the guys captured this shot. It's still a lot of fun to fly.

Took mine off of Triple Tree Lake for the 2nd time. Still love this plane. I take it frequently to my IMAC events cuz its good in calm & wind, and also my only real night flyer. It's perfect for those dewy grass mornings!
