S-3 Viking Video

At long last here it is, 3 blade EDF-50's with 2s 640 Li-Poly

EAM S-3B Viking Video

that should take care of any question on the flying ability of the kit.

Correction it was a 700 mah Li-Poly from Taisun Gary and I think we flew at least 10 minutes, he flew then I flew, then he flew, at least 5 launches, had a blast with it. I was shocked when he looped it we rolled it too. We also flew it on a 1200 as well it was nose heavy so we threw in the 700, the 1200 would have been no problem if we re-set our velcro position. Now I can paint it and pretty it up.

Oh great, another one I'm going to have get. Too many cool planes not enough time.

Look's great. Ever tried MicroFans in this plane? I bet it would real move on a couple MF/010's.

I really think it would be to much, it flies very scale now, I would even venture to say that you could prbably add light landing gear and ROG, plenty of power.

It could end up like my Fantasic Mig with a Astro Micri in it, sounds like a great idea but just doesnt work out well.

That's funny you should say that Barry. I have been thinking about doing just that with the Fantastic Sabre. What's the problem with the Astro/MicroFan?

I really like EDF's & I'm so impressed with the MicroFans that I've been thinking the possibilities are endless. But, maybe I'm getting a little crazy.

I haven't really gotten into the larger fan jets as I like flying at my local park & I have no desire to use a bungee. Although, I know that some of the MiniFan EDF's are hand launchable.

Dave,

Since I'm now using netscape and not IE, my videos don't play in media player. What do I need to do now??

Downloaded the video but it won't play. I'd like to see it.

EAMRC,

Great video and a GREAT catch at the end! Very cool. I think I'd
throw some strapping tape under the wings though to reduce
flexing (give it a more scale appearance). It does look GREAT
though, very nice model.

It's very nice to finally see that fly. I've been wanting to check it
out for a long time. Thanks for posting that.

Wonder how it'd go with some brushless motors? MPjet
25/25's... hmmm.

Steve,

Did you try downloading it and opening up your media player, then select File... Open, and point to it directly?

Started flying in 1992...
I'm just about to start buliding the EAM kit, would anyone recommend building in Ailerons, as the standard build uses Eleverons, bit worried about its flying ability with Eleverons?

Many thanks!
