I'm Loving it!

I've been building a Love WR-1 (aka Loving's Love) for a friend. I've got the assembly of the framing done. Need to finish sanding and shaping a few areas then I can start covering.

This is the www.ParkScaleModels.com kit that I designed a few years ago.

It's almost six months, but she's nearly done.

Finished her up over the weekend. The covering is Ultracoat Parklite. With the exception of the "experimental" & "Loving's Love" decals, all of the trim was hand cut.

I saw an exact duplicate of this model in Toledo 2013 (by Jeff Maruschek) and I fell in love with it. I had seen the real thing in OSH back in 2011 but didn't know the history of the aircraft or fully appreciate it's gorgeous lines at the time. Great job on this model. Is there a kit available? I don't see one on parkscalemodels.com

LOL! That was in fact built by MetroGTI. (the one above in fact)

I went to the WRAMs show and saw that he could have placed as there weren't too many entries...so I asked MetroGTI if I could enter the Loving he built for me at Toledo. (I put on the entry form that it was built by Metro, but they didn't display that on the card on display)

The plane did not place, however.

Thanks so much for building this amazing looking plane for me, Metro! I'm not sure I'll have the guts to actually fly it!

Well in that case, congratulations Metro, you did a fantastic job! I'm curious how it flies, the old saying "If it looks right it flies right" hopefully holds true here.
