Weight distribution xxx sct
The new velineon brushless motor that I installed in my xxx sct has so much power that it is hard to keep the front wheels on the ground, my backyard race track is a 500 feet technical course with burms tight turns, jumps, straights and she canes. Accurate steering is important. Moving the battery forward helped a little but the rear end would lose traction, so I started experimenting with weight balance. First i Moved the battery way back and then marked the middle of the truck with tape, put the truck on a thin stick and started to add small led weights to the front until I got it balanced, equal front-rear weight distribution. Took it out for a test run and there was an instant improvement in handling, way more bite on the front wheels and I could carry much more speed through the turns. Next I will play with springs and oil to get that perfect set up, it just make it more fun when your truck is just right.
