Did a bit of cloud surfing last night - wanted to get past 1 mile with the EZSTar being rewired after a water landing.

But the RF went horrible as I got in the clouds.

I have the same problem with my EZStar, I have to pre-dial right aeleron in and hold left when gliding....I don't care to mix with the throttle, long as I know.

BackLashRC came out with his QAV500 after I cloud surfed and here's the video - the eagle nest is empty this time of year, which is why we filmed it.

I had a double play of that! Simply fantastic footage! I wish we had stuff like this around where I live! The speed is something else, I wonder why have dials on the boats, not like you have time to read them!

Cool system, like the view you can get from top. Is it also your fpv cam that is on the gimball ? Never tried one.

Thanks! It's not the tri here - but the TBS Discovery. 3600mah 4cells. Quite consistent as daemon states. Around 8mins on my timer and most of the time I have 30% left. If I stress out my timer I run down to 20% and still be save. In fact range issues here are battery issues ;-)
Of course trappy had a fine solution to this: spread spare batteries to friends and fly some waypoints with "refuling" - I guess you all remember his "Long range is boring TBS Style"...

Yeah, right. Just came back from a Ski-Trip where I had to film. It was awesome! Video will follow shortly.

Absolutly Ian! In fact I don't use OSDs anymore - becaus with some experience you know the time limits of your batteries and a simple timer on the gas stick is enough.
